About US
We’re a youth-led nonprofit that mentors students to lead intergenerational service projects—connecting K–12 students, seniors, and veterans through the arts and acts of service.

Our Focus
Youth Leadership: Teens plan and lead service events.
Creative Connection: Students engage seniors and veterans in adaptive art projects.
Mentorship in Action: Teens teach younger students how to serve their community.

Impact on Well-being and Future Success
Participating in service builds empathy, confidence, and leadership skills in youth—while also reducing loneliness and isolation among seniors and veterans.
Our projects improve mental health, foster personal growth, and bring joy to every generation.

Promoting Joy in Service
At Striving to Serve, we strive to cultivate a sense of joy in service and inspire everyone to discover the fulfillment that comes from serving others.

Diversity and Common Purpose
Our service events unite students from all backgrounds—including many first-generation or immigrant youth—to work side-by-side for a shared purpose. Together, they build community and learn that everyone belongs.

Students Mentoring Students
Our teen leaders serve as mentors, visiting classrooms to guide younger students in meaningful service activities like writing cards for seniors and veterans-even helping with homework! These moments build empathy, leadership, and a culture of kindness—empowering the next generation to serve with heart and purpose.
